Terms of Service
Last updated 3 October 2026
1. These terms
By creating a shop on kedai.store you agree to these terms. The Service is operated from Gamuda Square, Bandar Gamuda Garden, 48050 Rawang, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia, and you can reach us at [email protected].
If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you may do so.
2. What kedai.store is, and what it is not
We provide the software and hosting for an online shop. You are the seller. The contract of sale for anything bought in your shop is between you and your customer. You set the prices, describe the goods, deliver them, handle returns, and answer for their quality and legality. We are not a party to that sale.
When your shop is connected to a payment gateway, the money is collected into your own gateway account. We do not hold your customers' money, and we never hold their card details.
3. Your account
Give us accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has your account. You are responsible for what is done through your account. One account is for one shop.
4. Your shop and your content
Your products, photographs, prices and customer records belong to you. You give us permission to store, copy and display them for the purpose of running your shop, and for nothing else. You are responsible for having the right to use the images you upload, and for what you sell being lawful to sell in Malaysia.
5. The wallet, and the fee we charge
There is no upfront charge to open a shop. Our fee is a percentage of your sales, taken from a prepaid wallet you top up.
- Your rate is bought by your top-up. A larger top-up buys a lower rate, and a top-up below the lowest rung buys the lowest rung's rate. The rate in force is the one your most recent top-up bought.
- One rate applies at a time. The wallet is a single balance, and a sale is charged one fee at the rate in force. The fee is not drawn from the credit of any particular top-up.
- The fee is calculated on the merchandise subtotal. Not on delivery charges, and not on tax you collect on the government's behalf.
- The fee is only charged on a successful sale. A month with no sales costs nothing.
- If a sale is refunded, the fee is returned in proportion to what was refunded.
- Credit can expire. Each top-up has a validity period, shown when you top up, and in your portal.
- A wallet can go slightly negative. If a sale completes and the wallet cannot cover the fee, the shortfall is recorded and carried. It is shown in your portal, never hidden.
- When the wallet is empty, the admin side becomes read-only. Your shop stays online and keeps taking orders. Adding products and changing settings resume when you top up.
- New shops receive a small welcome credit so they can operate from the first minute. It carries the entry rate of the ladder, and its own validity period.
Top-ups are not refundable once spent, and are not transferable between shops.
6. Orders, payment and delivery
You decide how you accept payment: a payment gateway connected to your own account, bank transfer, DuitNow, cash on delivery, or an order arranged over WhatsApp. You are responsible for confirming payment, delivering the goods, and handling any dispute with your customer.
7. Your customers' data and their rights
When a customer places an order, you become responsible for their personal data. You must use it for that order, keep it safe, and honour requests to see, correct or delete it. We hold it for you and will help you act on those requests. Do not use customer data for anything you did not tell the customer about.
8. What you may not do
- Sell anything unlawful in Malaysia, including counterfeit goods, protected wildlife, unregistered medicines, or weapons.
- Misrepresent what you sell, or who you are.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, or use the platform to harass anyone.
- Attempt to reach another shop's data, or to break the platform's security.
- Use the platform to launder money or to process payments for someone else's business.
9. Availability
We work to keep the platform available and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may need to take it down briefly for maintenance, and we will give notice where we can. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. Suspension and closing your account
You may close your shop at any time; we will tell you what we keep as a financial record. We may suspend a shop that breaches these terms, that is used for fraud, or where we are required to by law. Where the problem can be fixed, we will tell you what to fix first.
11. Our responsibility
We provide the platform with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for lost profit, lost sales, or for what your customers do. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes, and which law applies
We may update these terms; if a change affects you materially we will tell you in the portal before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction.
